I have been completly sucking at keeping my journal updated. It happens from time to time. I haven't been that good in the e-mail dept either. I think I have turned my computer at home online maybe twice this week I have just been either preoccupied with getting ready for my trip or too tired.
Not to mention there haven't been any FRIDAY FIVES to moivate me. Whats up with that???
Well since lunch beak is over I will have to do something about my lack of posts later when I get home. Much later because tonight I have a hot date... with an 8yr old. I am babysitting for a friends friend & we are going to see 'Ella Enchanted'. I figure since NO ONE in Maine would be willing to go see a kids movie with me (assumption can be disproven when shrek 2 opens next month) I better go now before I leave.
NEXT WEEK, I can not wait. ROAD TRIP!!!! I am going to miss everyone here but I can not wait to see everyone up there.
More later.... of course |

Answer the following five questions in your weblog or journal.
1. What do you do for a living? Currently I work for MetroPCS in their service center assisting customers with their malfunctioning cellular phones. Most customers who come in think we are responsible for the functionality & quality of their phone. They also think that when their phone gets liqued damaged & they don't recall it ever happening it should still be covered by the manufacturer and they think that is Metro. HA!!! Lets just say the major function of my job is LOTS & LOTS of customer service. In addition I try to lighten moods & provide smiles. This next week is my last week at Metro. Starting April 26th I begin a new career with MBNA. More customer service (I love that). To start I will be activating customers credit card accounts & transfering balances from one card to another. Who knows what the future with this company has in store.
2. What do you like most about your job? Taking a negative situation & being able to turn it around. Helping others & educating them as well. I get a charge out of all of that.
3. What do you like least about your job? The changes corperate has made recently. The seem to have stoped caring about the associates. My company use to feel like a family we were all in it together. Now its more like us against them. I don't mean us against the customers but hourly employees against salary employees. Those in management seem so distant from us now. I guess I wouldn't care if I hadn't seen the way things were before. Management is very nitpicky now & it trickels down from above. The further down it rolls the bigger the pile of ..... Everyone seems more stressed & less happy in general.
4. When you have a bad day at work it's usually because _____... I am being ignored or spoken undeservingly harshly to by coworkers who while I understand are under stress from their bosses... forget that they are taking it out on the folks they work with.
5. What other career(s) are you interested in? Teaching & Photography & if I had the skill... I'd love to be an AMY WYNN (the carpenter from trading spaces)kinda person. You know a skilled carpenter on a home makeover/remodeling kind of show. Not for Face fame. Fame I don't care so much about but to be appreciated for my skills & contrubutions & to make a positive diffence in others lives. Not to mention be able to use my hands & powertools Hoo Wee!!!! Working for Habitat for Humanity would be cool too but the pay just isn't the same as TV salaries. If it would pay all my bills & allow me to put away for savings then I would rather do Habitat but I believe its all volunteer. I love sawing & hammering & building stuff. Gotta watch the wood & dust though. Occupational hazard being allergic to trees lol
thanks to melanie for this week's questions You're Welcome :-)I'm Feelin Kinda...: rushed
